2015 has been a busy year so far and I'm planning to take it easy and enjoy some time off with my kids this summer. My business goals for July and August are to set up my home office and convert to a MacBook. Up until now I've been using a PC and have been feeling creatively constrained so I'm looking forward to trying out video blogging and expanding my creative capabilities with a Mac. Finally!
Summer presents its own style challenges with the heat and humidity and if you're looking for some budget style tips, read my suggestions in "10 Summer Style Tips to Keep You Cool and On Budget" over at The Stir. There are swim cover ups, jersey dresses, sandals, accessories and nail polish color recommendations - all less than $100.
I spend most of my time during the summer in jersey dresses, a swim cover up and my Team Betty kit by Betty Designs while training. This summer, I'm teaming up with 13 women to run the River to Sea Relay In New Jersey where we'll form 2 teams to cover 91 miles from Milford to Manasquan in one day. It will be my first relay race and I'm getting very excited. Run training continues into the fall with preparations for the NYC Marathon - my 9th 26.2 - where I'm hoping to PR with a time of 3:48 or better! My cross training goal for the summer is to finally try SUP! Any suggestions on where I can get on a stand up paddleboard in New Jersey?
