1. Can I give your service to a friend as a gift?

Yes! I encourage you to discuss the gift idea with your friend before purchasing a gift certificate. A successful personal styling experience requires buy-in and active participation from the person being styled. That basically means if your friend is unsure or uninterested, my styling service won't go well. In order to ensure an optimal experience, I will speak to the gift recipient on the phone prior to accepting payment.

 

*Please note that gift certificates expire one year from date of purchase and are non-refundable.

2. What makes you different from a department store personal stylist?

Stores like Bloomingdale's and Nordstrom offer personal stylists at no charge, but the results are remarkably different. What differentiates my services is first and foremost that I personally get to know my clients. I visit you in your home, I learn about your lifestyle, and I become acquainted with your style and spending comfort levels before making any recommendations.

 

Keep in mind, that unlike these store sponsored personal stylists, my loyalty is to you. Since I have no store or brand affiliation and I'm not earning a commission on sales, I can provide my expert honest opinion about the clothes you're trying on.

3. How will you end up saving me money in the long run?

My styling services are designed to help make your life easier. You won't be making any last-minute mall runs, random purchases because you aren't sure what your wardrobe needs, or spending another day with unworn clothes hanging in your closet.

 

In addition to saving you money, I also save you time. One way I do that is by pre-shopping for you, but the other way is by shopping strategically. I'll make sure you have outfits for all occasions from playdates to date nights to business presentations.

4. Who is your target client?

My clients are busy, working women because they have the most to gain from my expertise.

5. I like your style, but my body shape and personality are completely different from yours. How can you style someone who's the opposite of you?

 

My personal style has little to do with how I style clients. I've styled men and women of all shapes and sizes. It works because I take the time to understand my clients as individuals, so I am able to style everyone. My clients have included every body type from petite to tall and athletic women as well as men who are average size to those with a very muscular build.

6. Do you offer virtual styling sessions?

Yes, but only for existing clients.

 

 

7. How can I prepare to work with you?

Once you've booked your package, I will provide information to help you prepare for our style sessions. If you still have questions, we can always schedule a time to talk on the phone.

8. How do I pay for your styling services?

You can pay with a credit card via PayPal, check, cash or Venmo.

9. What is your refund/cancellation policy?

Should you wish to terminate for any reason, an email must be sent to elaine@simplychicstyling.com stating the reasons. Fees for services already rendered will not be refunded.

Appointments canceled within 24 hours of the scheduled time will be subject to a $50 rescheduling fee.
